Container Exchange: Learn about the opportunities available to businesses

January 14, 2018

Queensland is the next state to roll out the container deposit scheme. Container Exchange is the Product Responsibility Organisation that is working to build the network of Container Refund Points.

Container Exchange would like to invite NRA members to one of the briefing sessions they’ll be hosting in the next fortnight to explain some of the opportunities available to business operators and community groups in Queensland’s upcoming Container Refund Scheme (CRS).

As you might be aware, Container Exchange released a Request for Proposal (RFP) in December 2017 that seeks proposals from organisations interested in providing the following services within the scheme:

  • Container refund points
  • Processing providers
  • Logistics providers

They’re working with local businesses and community groups across Queensland to establish a refund scheme network with good coverage for its customers. The response has been positive to date because there’s an opportunity for all organisations – big and small – to participate in and benefit from the CRS.

There have been more than 100 registrations already but they’re looking to maximise coverage, especially in remote and regional areas, so we encourage you to attend one of the briefing sessions, even if you haven’t already registered for the RFP.
