New energy rating website for retailers

November 15, 2015

The Energy Rating website has recently been updated to provide information and tools for retailers on the Energy Rating Label and how to estimate running costs of an appliance.

The Energy Rating Label is part of broader Commonwealth, State and New Zealand initiative that aims to improve the energy efficiency of appliances sold in Australia and New Zealand by driving improvements to the energy efficiency of new appliances.

The ‘Retailers and Tradies‘ section of the website includes information on:

  • Complying with legal obligations when supplying a regulated product;
  • Displaying the Energy Rating Icon online and in print advertising;
  • Training for retailers on labelled appliances and energy efficient lighting; and
  • A range of calculators to calculate and compare the running cost of appliances.
