Deloitte Australia has released their first volume in their Retail Trends series which will explore trends and issues in retail.
The ‘Technology in Retail: from centre stage to supporting player’ report covers issues facing Australian retailers including predictions, disruptions, trends, consumer desires, customer experience and the state of omnichannel retailing.
David White, of Deloitte Australia says that traditional retail is in the thick of it when it comes to technological disruption.
“Innovation in technology and customer driven retailing is fundamentally changing the way businesses work and operate,” said White.
“As technology continues to advance, it further elevates consumers’ expectations.”
“We require a shift in mindset. We need to look at problems differently. We must become more integrated … and customer led.”
