VW Bill to go before Parliament

June 12, 2017

The Government has announced that it intends to bring the Vulnerable Workers Bill (the Bill) before Parliament in the final sitting of the financial year before going on its winter break.

The Bill was passed by the House of Representatives on 11 May 2017. It is now pending approval by the Senate.

Typically, Parliament House will publish a Notice Paper setting out the matters to be discussed by Parliament on each sitting day.

The Bill is not presently on the Notice Paper for debate on 13 June 2017.

There are currently no published Notice Papers for the remaining sitting days; these will be available shortly before each sitting day.

NRA will follow the Parliamentary proceedings closely and update our members as information becomes available.
