The National Retail Association is proud to support the 2018 Veterans’ Employment Awards. The Awards recognise the achievements of businesses and other organisations in creating employment opportunities for veterans and spouses of serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) members, and veterans who have made a significant contribution to their workplace.
The Awards have been established under the Prime Minister’s Veterans’ Employment Program, which aims to raise awareness of the skills and experience that veterans can bring to the civilian workplace and increase employment opportunities for veterans.
Many National Retail Association members have made efforts to hire or support veterans. The NRA and Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) encourage our members to take this opportunity to submit a nomination.
A nomination will raise your organisation’s profile and help veterans identify your industry as a preferred employer of veterans and the spouses of serving ADF members.
The categories for the awards include:
- Leadership in Recruitment of Veterans
- Veteran Employee of the Year
- Veterans’ Employer of the Year – Large Business
- Veterans’ Employer of the Year – Small to Medium-Sized Business
- Veterans’ Employer of the Year – Public Sector Organisation
- Excellence in Supporting Veterans’ Employment
- Excellence in Supporting Spouse Employment
