More department stores and shopping centres are undergoing facelifts to meet contemporary trends and demand.

BRISBANE:

Property investor, Precision Group, has begun a major redevelopment of MacArthur Central Shopping Centre in Brisbane’s CBD. The redevelopment includes the relocation and expansion of jewellery house, Hardy Brothers, from Queen Street which opened last week, as well as the upcoming addition of international fashion retailer Hugo Boss, set to open in June.

Neil Perry’s Burger Project will be opening at Precision Group’s office tower, which also recently underwent extensive refurbishment.

Brisbane City Council is undergoing an $11.8m beautification project with the addition of trees, improved lighting and boulevard pavements as part of a precinct-wide approach to Edward Street in the CBD.

In the upcoming months, MacArthur Central’s Queen Street frontage is also receiving a major upgrade, with the National Australia Bank opening its flagship Brisbane retail branch and office tower.
